What’s a”comper”

A comper is a term for someone who enters competitions. Whether you have done it just once, or you do it full time to supplement your income (!) You are a comper.

Compers are pleased to speak about what they’ve won, but also share where to find UK contests which are free to enter.

I remember ready about a single couple who won a family holiday to Dubai and someone else that was able to nab themselves a free vehicle. They were winning one prize that was it — those people were winners.

Being debt, and skint all the time, I was in awe of these people won . And I wanted some of it! I started comping too.

I started entering the odd free contest as I came across it. One on a magazine or I save a local company running a giveaway on Facebook. Then things began to get more serious…I got to the point where I was discovering and entering hundreds of contests daily!

Entering turned into a breeze, when it clicked on how I could find them.

Why bother entering competitions?

“What’s the purpose?”

“it is a waste of time”

“There’s no chance for me for win. !

“Why bother entering competitions at the first location?”

If you think there is no purpose and it’s a waste of time don’t enter. It means I have more chance of winning

Was to help my family. We couldn’t afford holidays, a brbrand-newar or a load of fancy kitchen gadgets.

I started entering as a way to top up our income. If we got the stuff for free then I would not need to buy things with my own cash and could save our cash for something else.

It comes in at just over # 20,000 While I’ve totted stuff we have won over the years. I mean that’s like another wages!!

And, for me personally, that’s well worth entering a load of contests every day.

On the plus side, competition winnings are tax free! It follows that each and every penny (or prize) you win, you do not need to pay or declare anything to HMRC, meaning all the winnings will be yours.

To locate UK competitions

With the big wide world of the internet, entering free contests has never been easier!

You don’t have to cover # 1 + per minute calling a 0871 number with you’re A, C or B response to their question that is obviously simple.

You do not need to read the magazines in the doctors waiting room to find their latest giveaways.

And you do not need to pay for the school summer raffle, hoping you’ll win the donations offered by a local small business.

What you can do though is find thousands of contests you may enter on the website and on media.

A few places to look…

They get you started and will be your move to places to find more and more prizes.

Where to Locate free to enter contests

Maintain your eyes TV Comp UK, tv news. There are a lot of methods with there being lots of different competitions on the market. You can input the contests to boost your chances of winning.

Website form entries

If you’re entering a contest on a website, most of the time, you will just have to provide them your name and emailaddress. Sometimes they will also ask for your phone number, address and date of birth.

The contest may be running for a way. You don’t have to tick you wish to and it shouldn’t ever scupper your chances.
Social media contests

Are you on Facebook or even Twitter? If you’re not not,may be time to start an account.

On Twitter, have a hunt for #competition or your own hashtag #win. Many of these competitions simply want you to RT (retweet) to enter. It’s just a simple click of a button.

On Facebook, again, have a hunt for contest and you’ll be greeted with a load of outcomes with giveaways you may be interested in going for. You may choose to join Facebook contest community groups that share all the comps out there too, As you’re on Facebook.

Begin entering Instagram contests if you’re more of an Instagram person. Take a hunt for #competition at which you should regram a picture, tag someone within a post or input through their link . You’ll need to have a public profile or the server of the contest won’t be able to see you have entered.
Special condition competitions

These competitions will see you needing to devote a bit more effort. With effort generally comes a reward.

Rather than just putting your name you’ll want to do something specifically for your chance to win.

This might be writing a poem, coming up with a slogan, filming a video (we won #200 doing so ) or it might even be that you need to have a photograph of something. It might also be aimed at getting your kids involved that could give them an hour of entertainment (as well as 10 minutes till they lose interest!)

Competitions where you need to do more normally are not entered as much as people just won’t bother, thinking it is too much hassle.

It’s those ones.
Phone-ins

If you need to call into a radio show you’ll mainly find these. They aren’t usually free so I don’t bother to enter. While the prize may sound fantastic, if it’s going cost you #1 per call, you might wind up just losing your money.

With so many other free to enter competitions on the market, I do not really understand the point.

How much time does it take?

I think it’s one of those things that you have to work out everything you would have already been doing anyway.

At your desk, do you sit In your lunch break, eating a sandwich and catching up on the news? Why don’t you take that opportunity to enter some competitions (provided company policy allows access to the sites)?

In the day, if all chores are done and you sit back and have a little bit of time before bed, are you watching the TV with one eye with another eye on your mobile phone? Why not stop surfing the timeline of Facebook and put in some competitions?

Are the prizes worth it?

My goal was to win the major stuff like holidays and money prizes, but it was.

Was a bag of pens out of a Twitter retweet contest.

While the value was really low, the triumph gave me the motivation to continue and enter more.

When you triumph!! you get a buzz that is great

As an added bonus, the pencils have been fab (you can not go wrong with having too many pens ) and my daughters used them for college stationery (saving the need for us to purchase new ones).
